Argo is doing great. He is one of the funniest dogs I have been with. We are in the second round of obedience training now. It is a lot of fun to watch him around other dogs. He has quite an inquisitive personality -- his attention is always directed not just at the me, but also at the things that take place around him. He watches other dogs, people, has some favorites that he keeps an eye on all the time :) He definitely mingles in the crowd...
A shocking surprise for me was when we first went to the lake earlier this year. In 2 minutes he learned that not seeing his feet is ok, he attempted running in the water, splashing all over and at one point he hit a little ditch, so he had to go for a swim... From that point on -- and it continues every time we are near the water -- he is in there the whole time. Swimming is one of his favorite things. When playing with other dogs on the beach, he leads them into the water, and encourages them to try it! It's like a parent teaching his kids to swim: "Common, you can do it..." kind of thing.
He is also one of the most affectionate dogs I have known. He appreciates every bit of attention he can get, and gives back the fun and excitement of being a young, energetic and happy dog.
We love him!
