Since we were moving from a home with ¼ an acre to a home with 11 1/2 acres we were ready to add a big dog to our family. We wanted a large protective dog, but one that was not aggressive toward us, or our 6 Pomeranians. We researched different breeds of big dogs and found the Belgian Sheepdogs to be just what we were looking for. Of course we didn’t want just any dog, he had to be beautiful, smart, well pedigreed, and get along with our Pomeranians and two children. We were not disappointed when Blackie came to us at 8 weeks old weighing 11 lbs. He fit right into our household and we were all impressed by his beautiful black coat, alertness, intelligence, and pleasant temperament. He enjoys car rides, walks, chew toys, playing fetch, and splashing in his water dish.
