| From Co-owner Peri Norman... On the occasion of Marcus finishing this past weekend, I want to put in my two cents worth... I had known Maxine for many years when she contacted me about a Belgian Tervuren puppy for performance. I knew that one of Tre and Reiny's puppies would be perfect for her and believe with all my heart that Maxine and Marcus were meant to be. Marcus has many wonderful qualities but far and away my favorite is his temperament! He is wonderful! He is thoughtful and analytical. He is very biddable. He has a strong work ethic. He never quits and it is important to him that he get it right. He has lovely herding instinct and rates himself well to his stock. Besides all that, he is just plain easy to live with... I know of no living belgian of any variety with a temperament superior to Marcus' and precious few that are comparable. He is truly a great dog! I want to thank Maxine for helping Marcus to achieve his potential. I know that they will add many more letters to the end of his name, but who he is as a person is complete and it is fabulous. I also want to thank Maxine for allowing me to be such a large part of Marcus' life. He is very special to me. Thanks to Sandi Weldon for her faith in Tre and support of Marcus and the rest of the Allstar clan for all the moral support and good thoughts. Finally, a huge thanks to Tim for breeding such a great dog and a first litter whose successes at two and half years just boggles the mind! |

Marcus' Story
CH Allstar's Leading Man NA NAJ HT CGC! Those are the official "letters" my wonderful Marcus has accumulated. But nothing in those titles can begin to explain this magnificent guy and all the love and happiness he has brought to my life!
Just last night I looked up and saw this gorgeous boy running and was totally awed because he looked so positively stunning! What a beautiful fellow he is! Obviously I am biased but many people who do not even know him comment on his beauty. And his internal beauty is even more impressive than his external!
"Biddable" is a word I had never heard until I wanted a Terv - but this word pretty much describes Marcus. Both my agility and herding instructors have been surprised just how hard he tries to do what I want. Unfortunately they also tend to agree that I am the limiting factor for Marcus! ;-) Oh well, we have loads of fun anyway! Thank God Marcus forgives me!
I was so concerned when he tested for the HT, because we were both so very green, that I signed up for an extra day of testing. He passed the HT in the first tries so we tried the PT on the extra day and he earned a leg for that too - and we had never practiced it! I had never done herding before Marcus but it is truly a joy to watch your dog do what his breed was originally intended to do. And he obviously loves doing it! I am so very pleased that his instinct is so good! If fact, we are having so much fun that now Marcus has 6 sheepie "playmates"! Yes, we had to get sheep to practice!
He got his agility and CGC titles very easily too! This boy just really tries to please!!! And he finished his CH with me doing most of the showing (but many thanks to Peri and Sandi for helping me learn what I know about handling in breed)! I never thought I would enjoy showing in breed but he was so wonderful to show I just got hooked! When he finished his CH by going Best of Breed over a gorgeous special I was just too happy to even explain!
But his BEST qualities - his smile when he sees me, lying by my feet, sleeping at my side, wanting his "love" as soon as he knows I am awake, always being there for me - just being my best all around "bud"! Tim, Peri, and Sandi I don't know any better words than "Thank You", but there is no way to tell you how much I love this very special guy!
