These are our second Tervs, the first being one that we got from the
SPCA but never had any written confirmation that he was one except that
those who knew the breed kept telling us that he was. We fell in love
with this breed at the time but no one told us how hard it was to raise
2 puppies from the same litter at the same time as companion dogs !!
Oh they told us, BUT only after we had bought them. Ever since it has
been quite a ride.
Originally we had asked for only one dog, a male, grey. We didn't get a
grey due to the fact that the others who wanted dogs were for
competition and they received 1st choice. Gizmo is favre and was quite
independent every time we went to see him at the kennel. Now he spends
most of his time washing our faces. While we were there, Angel (who
wasn't named yet) kept climbing onto my lap like a cat. She was the
only one in the litter who was neither grey or favre, she is sable
(light beige). Because of this habit (which she has kept !!...even
while I'm at the computer she climbs onto my lap and falls asleep) we
decided to buy her as well. She seemed sooooo quiet... Angel has energy
to spare while Gizmo is quieter but quite the thief, nothing is safe
with him... he's brought us our glasses, watches, t-shirts and half a
dozen other items which he and his sister have fought over thus
rendering them only good for the garbage. Even with all this we
wouldn't change them and love them very much.
