Your HeadingTHE MIDAS TOUCH Goes Here

Well,  what else would I call my "business".  I began making jewelry for my friends several years ago as therapy.  After lots of experimenting, I decided I only wanted to work with the semi-precious gemstones because of their beauty.  Each stone is a work of art in itself as no stone is alike.  Each one has it's own tapestry, ranging in shades of colors, inclusions, matrix and lustre and sheen.  Since the stones are so inspiring, I found I could only use precious metals with them.  Gold is so expensive, I rarely use it.  Occasionally, I have used gold plate or vermeil but if so, it will be identified as such.  All metal in these examples is .925 Sterling Silver, including, chain, beads, and all findings unless otherwise specified.  All gemstones were carefully chosen for their beauty and color.

THIS PAGE HAS MANY GRAPHICS, PLEASE GIVE IT TIME TO LOAD.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

If you want a set in a color or style I don't have with me, I will custom make whatever you wish.  All I need is your color scheme and idea for the project. You can have as much input as you wish, however, these are not machine made and I shop for just the right elements after I have designed the piece.  This takes time, so allow 4-6 weeks to finish your idea.

Please remember, stones  can be any shape and variation of color and these pieces are hand-made so you may see some minor imperfections from time to time.  They should be considered part of the beauty of an original design.  Prices are for the set.

****  I have never photographed  jewelry before and it was a challenge so please forgive the mistakes I made.  Also, everyone's  computer monitor displays colors differently.  Please take all this into consideration. *****

RUSTY SHADES

I was  inspired by the colors in the Terv and the rich reds in the Carnelian stones.  To add sparkle, richly colored cultured  pearls and genuine Swarovski crystals complete the look.  This set begged for copper findings to enhance the colors found.

This set utilizes a gem I feel is one of the most beautiful.  The name says it all:  Blue Lace Agate.  It is a gem that is a little difficult to obtain at times.  It is pale blue with different bands of  blue to pale blue and white running across the stones.  This set uses the Blue Lace Agate, faceted opaque crystal, and genuine Swarovski opal crystals.  The necklace clasp is Silver Plate.  All other metals are .925 Sterling Silver and there's lots of it..

DEEP SEA

This design has classic beauty in it's simplicity.  The translucent green Adventurine accented by cultured, lustrous grey pearls and .925 Sterling Silver compliment each other beautifully. The earrings were photographed at a different time and place and look a different color.  They use the exact same beads as in the necklace and are more the correct color on my computer anyway.

MAHOGANY SPARKLE

SOLD

This set was difficult to photograph because of the faceted sparkle of the Carnelian beads and the flat stone refelecting light.  This one must be seen to be appreciated.  Created with Carnelian beads and pendant along with genuine Swarovski crystals, frosted glass teardrops and copper findings.

TASSELED GREEN

This gem I came upon by accident and just fell in love with it's olive green and black specks and lines.  It is Russian Serpentine and I thought it would lend itself to setting off the BSD head study.

As you see above, the Belgian heads and silhouettes are either three dimensional or etched in the stone.  Some of these pieces are made of a base metal I am not familiar with.  The Czech Connection can be contacted if you wish to know the content.
